Weslaco Chamber hosting Hurricane Preparedness Luncheon, Friday, June 26

The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce invites Mid-Valley businesses and residents to prepare for this year’s hurricane season and attend an information session regarding “Hurricane Preparedness,” on Friday, June 26, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., at the Weslaco Business Visitors Center, 301 W. Railroad St.

Hear expert advice from special guests George Garrett, Emergency Management for the City of Weslaco and Donna, and Brad Bierstedt, Business Development Manager of Magic Valley Electric Cooperative. 

A hurricane could develop anytime between now and November 30^th, and safety is of utmost concern. Business owners are advised to take necessary precautions today. George Garrett will be providing information on evacuation and sandbag distribution procedures for businesses and CodeRed communication, followed by Brad Bierstedt with safety tips to protect yourself and your business.
