Children's Activites at Family Area

Fun for All Ages at the Knapp Family Area and STC KIDZONE

Families are in for a sweet celebration at the Knapp Medical Family Area which features children's activities provided by community service organizations.  

Children will learn fire safety with the Weslaco Fire Department and their mascot Kiko, and if you need to register your child’s fingerprints, the Weslaco Police Department will be on hand operating a fingerprinting station.

Activities with the Weslaco Museum and Weslaco Library will keep your family occupied with fun, and spend time visiting with the volunteers from Frontera Audubon, Valley Nature Center and Estero Llano Grande State Park and discover the wealth of nature habitats in Weslaco.

The Southwest Dairy Cow returns to the Texas Onion Fest with a memorable presentation about the dairy industry. Pull up a chair with Fairies with Magical Effects and have your face painted with an intricate design. 

Before you leave spin the wheel at the Knapp Medical Center table for a chance at great prizes and receive a quick body fat examination.

The STC KIDZONE will entertain kids of all ages for hours. Laser Tag, a mobile Gaming Theater and popular rides like the rock climbing wall, inflatable slides, and mini-ferris wheel will be sure to make the Fest fun and adventurous. Ticket books will be for sale on-site for all the rides, fun and beverages.
