The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce was the recipient of several marketing awards from the Texas Festivals and Events Association (TFEA) for their promotion of the Texas Onion Fest.
Martha Noell, CEO/President of the Chamber attended the TFEA annual conference in Houston last week along with Alicia Aguilar, Marketing Director where they accepted nine awards for the Onion Fest’s marketing and advertising for the 2010 festival. TFEA awards the marketing efforts of events and festivals across the state. The Onion Fest was entered in the category of events with budgets from $75,000 to $250,000. “We were thrilled to accept the awards on behalf of all the folks who work so hard to make this event happen,” Noell commented.

Noell is the President of the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce, which hosts the Texas Onion Fest and serves on the board of TFEA.
