Weslaco Chamber Members Awarded Small Business Awards

The University of Texas-Pan American Small Business Development Center, in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), recognized two Weslaco Chamber Members at the Small Business Week 2008 on March 14th.The Weslaco Chamber would like to congratulate these members for their achievement:

Small Business Persons of the Year - Collision Center is a full-service, auto-body repair shop that was established in 1986, by Armando and Lucia Regalado. With over 20 years in business, Collision Center is well-known for its strong focus on customer service. The company works with vehicles involved in accidents and takes pride in making them look like new again.

In addition, the company assists consumers by working with insurance companies to obtain quotes and asserts that consumers are able to have their car repaired to the fullest extent. Collision Center operates two, state-of-the-art facilities in South Texas, of which one is located in Weslaco at 1302 N. Annie Dr.

Small Business Journalist of the Year - Gloria Gracia Badiola is the co-founder of deShopping en El Valle de Texas, a small newspaper which caters to Mexican, high-end shoppers. She is also the owner of Cleaning Management Services, which caters to the industrial sector of businesses. Through her newspaper business, she has found a profitable niche that helps local, small businesses prosper by attracting Mexican shoppers to their doors.
