Rio Bank announces President-Designee of future Weslaco Banking Center

Rio Bank, a South Texas-owned and operated full-service bank, is pleased to introduce Brian Humphreys as the President-designee of Rio Bank’s future Weslaco banking center. Ford Sasser, President and CEO of Rio Bank, headquartered in McAllen, said "Brian Humphreys is a tremendous addition to our bank, and his multi-generational banking experience will provide extraordinary leadership to help us deliver our local, convenient and personal style of banking to a growing customer base in Weslaco and the entire Rio Grande Valley."

Reared in Weslaco, Humphreys received a BBA in International Business from UT Austin in 1999, and an MBA from UT Arlington. After stints in Austin and Dallas, Humphreys was ecstatic to return home to Weslaco in 2003. "I chose to move back to Weslaco because I wanted to make a profound difference in my community. I now have the great honor to lead a bank right here in my hometown," noted Humphreys.

Humphrey’s business and banking background includes 9 years in the financial services and banking industry selling mortgages, analyzing capital markets and most recently working with another bank here in Weslaco. Humphreys is committed to his community. He currently serves as Sponsorship Chair of the Mid Valley Relay for Life, as Treasurer of the Weslaco Kiwanis and as Treasurer of the Valley Nature Center. In what little spare time he can muster, Humphreys enjoys golfing, fishing and skiing.

Humphreys added, "I have a sense of ownership and family with Rio Bank. They respect my input, and I greatly respect what Ford Sasser and his professional banking team have accomplished."

Commenting further, Sasser said, "I am excited about what is happening at Rio Bank and in the greater Rio Grande Valley area. The region’s economy is booming and we are excited about our near-future location in Weslaco." Our highly experienced staff is dedicated to deliver local, convenient and personal banking services to all of our customers."

Humphreys concluded, "Rio Bank is the kind of bank that does business the way people like to do business. We know our customers and our community and we are committed to being your kind of bank and your kind of banker."
