Montalvo Insurance receives "Beautification" Award

Montalvo Insurance, located at 208 S. Texas Blvd., earned the Commercial Beautification Award for the month of July for maintaining a beautiful, environmental friendly landscape. The award was presented by Weslaco Beautiful, an environmental committee sponsored by the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce. "We are honored and want to encourage other businesses to 'beautify' their premises," stated Ramon Montalvo, owner of Montalvo Insurance. "Many businesses can improve their curb appeal with a minimum investment in landscaping."

Montalvo recognized Ruben Villarreal for designing and maintaining the landscape. Villarreal found a passion for landscaping as a child and takes on a handful of small projects every year for fun. He met Ramon Montalvo by word of mouth and quickly designed a tropical landscape with a lot of color.

The landscape includes Xoras, and Foxtail and Mediterranean Palms, plants that thrive in a tropical climate. Montalvo Insurance will display their award in front of their business for the next month.
