Leadership Mid Valley Announces 2008-2009 Class Members

The Mid Valley Leadership Program announced the incoming members of the Class IV Mid Valley Leadership Program. The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a mixer in their honor on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Weslaco Business Visitors Center. Norma Montalvo, Leadership Committee Chair, recognized members of the program steering committee and alumni in attendance. The first scheduled meeting is a leadership retreat in Alamo, Texas, October 3-4.

The purpose of Leadership Mid Valley is to identify and motivate emerging leaders and develop their potential for community leadership by exposing them to the realities, opportunities and problems of the community. In keeping with its purpose, Leadership Mid Valley is to make a concerted effort to recruit and select a diversified membership that is representative of all segments of the Mid Valley area.
