Must See Entertainment at Texas Onion Fest!
Every bloomin' birthday needs music to bring life to the party. This year’s Texas Onion Fest music line-up includes performances from a range of country singers, tejano bands, norteno groups, and much more on two entertainment stages, April 3 & 4.
The stage will be set on Friday, April 3, by Weslaco ISD for a “Pop Rock Concert” youth event featuring local bands and headliner Madore bringing a lot of energy the whole family can enjoy.
On Saturday, April 4, the Magic Valley Electric Texas Spirit Stage kicks off with Rene Sings Elvis followed by Valley Tumbleweeds playing classic country favorites. The afternoon brings the Davison family jugglers performing the “Million Dollar Family Comedy Show”, a must-see event with amazing feats by daughter Mabelle.
Save a seat to meet upcoming country artist Cody Jinks with a voice reminiscent of Randy Travis and Johnny Cash. Evening performances include Texas Heat who promise to get you on the dance floor.
Sweet performances will also be playing on the American Electric Power Latin Flair Stage with salsa dance lessons with Sabor Vallero at 11 am followed by Conjunto Solisueno at 1:30 pm. Tejano classic Cali Carranza y Los Formales will perform live with special guest Herbie Lopez, 2004 Tejano Roots Hall of Fame inductee.
Los Badd Boyz take the stage at 5 pm keeping the norteno music alive, followed by Roberto Pulido, a Tejano star born and raised in Edinburg, Texas, at 6:30 pm. Closing out the sweet celebration is a lively conjunto show by Albert Zamora at 8 pm.
Weslaco City Park is located at 300 N. Airport Drive. Gate admission is $2 person on Friday, and $5 adults, $4 seniors, and $2 children all day Saturday. Purchase advance Saturday tickets at the Weslaco Chamber and save $1 off adult admission. Parking is free both days. The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce is located at 301 W.
