Weslaco Subdivision Honored for Green Landscape

Dr. Chester and Ellen Pflugrad, property investors of Cornerstone Meadow Estates, a gated subdivision located on south Westgate, were delighted to receive the Residential Beautification Award for the month of April from Weslaco Beautiful, a volunteer committee of the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce.

When the Pflugard’s first began developing Cornerstone Meadow Estates ten years ago, the couple landscaped the front entrance in stages, first planting Washingtonian and Royal Cuban Palms to provide shade for other plants. Now homeowners and guests enter the neighborhood welcomed by a variety of native plants that provide beautiful color. An outdoor sign will be displayed in front of the subdivision for the next month.
