The Weslaco museum presents “Captain Crab & The Beach Patrol” puppet show on August 21, at 2:00 p.m.  This program is free to the public and will be held at the Weslaco Museum at 500 S. Texas Blvd.

The program “Captain Crab and The Beach Patrol,” features a life sized crab character and his beach buddy puppet friends, performing to a recorded soundtrack.

Prior to the 20 minute puppet show, students view a video entitled “A Day At The Beach,” emphasizing the message “Trash Our Beach, Pay The Price.”

“The puppet show was created to educate our children on keeping our beaches clean and to promote the preservation of our environment” said Bonnie Waller, program director of Valley Proud Environmental Council.
