Metropolitan Transportation Plan Update Senior Citizen Awareness

WHAT:  Open House Public Meeting to present the Hidalgo County MTP update for 2035.

WHY:  Your participation with ideas is  critical to identify and implement the future needs for better roadways, transit, bicycle and pedestrian amenities, freight infrastructure, and also use this time to tell us about your areas.

What to Expect:    As a participant at this meeting, you will have “one on one” opportunities to discuss with HCMPO staff issues with transportation projects being proposed for Hidalgo County. Maps will be available to display proposed improvements for future roads, bike lanes, , hiking trails, rail, and  transit assets.  Come talk to us about a presentation at your center.  Lets discuss this at the open house meeting.

The MTP update allows for the continual preservation of our environmental sensitive areas. The development of this MTP will help us to protect our wildlife and their habitats.

Come and review our plan, take a few moments to look at our maps, geodata, and population figures.  This meeting is designed to give the community an opportunity to learn about us, learn about road improvements, and to provide feedback.  This will help in the development of the Final MTP Plan.
