Santa to arrive at Mid Valley Airport

The International Lions Club of Weslaco is proud to host their 20th Annual Santa Claus Fly-In Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 1:30 pm.  They will fly in Santa in from the North Pole to Welsaco's Mid Valley Airport. 

Santa will arrive by airplane, weather permitting, on Saturday, December 12th.  If there is inclement weahter for Santa's arrival, then arrangements to fly him in on the 13th of December will be made.  

Families, children of all ages and all Mid Valley residents are invited to greet him upon arrival at the airport.  The international Lions Club and area businesses will sponsor his trip and the items in the goody bags which will be distributed by Santa to the children.  The Weslaco Fire and police departments will assist with Santa's visist to some of the area's low income neighborhoods.  

Co-chairman for Santa's visit are Lions Rod and Mary Reyna.  The Reynas said, "it has been a pleasure coordinating and hosting Santa's visit for the past 20 years and one the Lions Club looks forward to for years to come."
