Kids' Nature Photography Camp Offered in July

Professional nature photographer Ruth Hoyt has teamed with the Valley Nature Center in Weslaco to offer the fourth annual nature photo camp for Rio Grande Valley youngsters. Ruth is a wonderful teacher and loves the outdoors. She is an award wining nature photographer and has been teaching photography classes for 19 years.

This awesome camp is offered to enthuse, entertain and educate young people about nature and photography. Participants will spend part of the time in a classroom setting to learn the basic functions and operation of cameras. At other times during camp the kids will go outdoors at the Valley Nature Center and also travel over to the Estero Llano Grande State Park to photograph nature at its best! Handouts containing information discussed during the camp will also be provided.

The one-week camp runs from Tuesday through Friday, July 13-16, 2010 for kids aged 8-15 years. Camp begins each day at 10:00am and ends at 2:00pm. A light lunch and drinks be provided each day. Cost for the week of camp is only $120.
