The Photography Club at STC presents: The First Annual Digital Photo Contest

 Weslaco – The Photography Club at South Texas College Mid Valley Campus will be hosting their First Annual Digital Photo Contest this September and October 2010. There will be a cash prize of $100 for 1^st place in each category and the top three winners from each category will be on exhibit at the STC Mid Valley Campus library and art gallery in Weslaco the month of November. The contest’s purpose is to capture local beauty, personalities, architecture, traditions, culture, sports, animals and anything that is unique the Rio Grande Valley. There will be six categories: Portrait/People (need release signatures)AnimalsArchitecture/Landscapes/SeascapesBlack & WhiteAction/SportsOpen/Miscellaneous This contest is open to everyone in the community. The entry fee is $4 per photo or 3 photo submissions for $10. Photo submissions should be emailed to photoclubstc@gmail.com. Photos must be in jpeg format and sized to 8x10 or at least 300 dpi. All photos must be original, unpublished and have limited altering using photo editing software.
