The Weslaco Museum at 500 S. Texas will have “A Skull of Art” program and workshop on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 2 o 4 p.m.
Children of any age, as well as adults, are invited to participate Admission is free for observers, with sugar skulls available for purchase by those who want to take part in the workshop. Sugar skulls will be sold in two sizes: medium for $6 and large for $10.
Participants will be designing and painting their own pre-made sugar skulls. The Weslaco Museum will provide everything else—paint, paint brushes, and other materials needed to decorate the skull.
All sugar skulls were handmade by Xavier Reyes, public programs coordinator.

The museum is open at 500 S. Texas Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regular admission is free to members, $3 for adults, $2 for seniors, $1 for students 5-12, and free to children five and under, with free admission on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and for special programs.
