Martha Noell, Chamber CEO/President Wins Statewide Award

Carson Watt Professional of the Year Awarded to Weslaco Chamber CEO/President

The Texas Festivals and Events Association (TFEA) honored Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce CEO/President with its most prestigious professional award at its annual conference in Ft. Worth last week.

Martha Noell was named the TFEA/Carson Watt Professional of the Year.  The award is named in honor of Dr. Carson Watt who spent his academic career assisting the citizens of the state of Texas develop tourism and recreational opportunities. Dr. Watt spent his entire career working to grow tourism and help rural communities to be sustainable throughout the U.S.

Noell is the President of the Weslaco Chamber of Commerce, which hosts the Texas Onion Fest.  She serves on the board of TFEA and currently serves as the Board Chair of the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives.
