Leadership Mid Valley Accepting Applications

2009-2010 Program Classes Begin in October

WESLACO - Leadership Mid Valley is an annual educational program sponsored by the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce.  The 2009-2010 classes will begin in the fall and applications are being accepted by the Leadership Steering committee.

The Leadership Mid Valley program targets individuals who desire to further develop leadership skills and expand their knowledge about the concerns, opportunities and challenges of the Mid Valley area. Applications are now available for those interested in participating in the program, scheduled from October through May.

The program’s tuition cost is $400. Tuition fee includes meals, transportation, and speakers. Application deadline is September 4^th at 5:00 p.m. Sessions will be held the third Thursday of each month from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., except the October session which will be a weekend retreat with mandatory attendance. Participants must attend at least seven of the nine sessions.

All participants must have lived or worked in Mid Valley area for one year prior to September 1^st.  Publicly elected officials are not eligible for the class.
