GOOD MORNING WESLACO EVENT TO BE HELD AUG. 20

 

President & CEO of Rio Grande Partnership to address Chamber Membership

WESLACO, TX -  Mid-valley residents have an opportunity to hear from the Rio Grande Valley’s foremost expert on the valley’s business and economic culture during a morning coffee mixer.

Bill Summers, President and Chief Executive Officer for the Rio Grande Valley Partnership will be the special guest speaker for the August Good Morning Weslaco event which will take place at Starbucks on August 20.   The Partnership is a regional chamber of commerce that promotes the four south-most counties in Texas cultivating relationships that improve the quality of life in the region.

Summers has been at the helm of the RGV Partnership for almost two decades with countless success stories including the development and submission of plans to the Texas Department of Transportation that resulted in more than $500 million dollars in improvement projects in the Valley.  Additionally, under his leadership, the Partnership established the only office of any Texas chamber of commerce or economic development organization in Tamaulipas, Mexico, building relationships with business leaders and elected officials in the border state.
