Rudy's Laundromat Receives Beautification Award

WESLACO, TX – Weslaco Beautiful presented Rudy’s Laundromat, located at 725 S. Texas Blvd., with the November Commercial Beautification Award. Diana de la Pena, owner and operator comes from a long-standing Weslaco family who has been involved in business and land development for many generations.

The Laundromat has been in the family since 1976. Since then she has been remodeling the business inside and out, including the machines, water system, the fa硤e and upgrading the curb. They replant and replace the foliage as necessary. “My family’s motto has always been to make Weslaco a better place to live for the community one project at a time,” said de la Pena. This attitude typifies exactly what the Beautification Awards were designed for; to reward and encourage businesses to make Weslaco a great place to live, do business and raise families.

The Weslaco Beautiful Beautification Awards are designed to recognize the efforts of individuals and organizations that contribute to community pride through excellence in landscaping, beautification and continued property maintenance.
