Weslaco Chamber receives Statewide Marketing Awards for Chamber Promotion

The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce received two marketing awards presented by the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE) at its annual conference held June 22-24 in New Braunfels, TX. The TCCE Media Contest recognizes Chambers of Commerce statewide for the various media materials they produce.

The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce was awarded 1^st place for Best Marketing Campaign for its “We are Weslaco” Campaign launched in December 2007 to promote tourism and business development in Weslaco. The campaign includes a series of print advertisements in local and state publications both in English and Spanish. The Weslaco Chamber also received 2^nd place for Best Website in its category.  

The Chamber is an active member of TCCE and participates in the sharing of ideas with other Chambers of Commerce across the state. Weslaco Chamber President/CEO Martha Noell serves on the Board of Directors and will serve as TCCE Chair in 2009.
